Recently, fans have seen the developing cast pool of Bryan Singer's upcoming film "X-Men: Apocalypse." "X-Men" trilogy actress Anna Paquin has made a revelation on playing the character Rogue in the "X-Men" franchise.
Paquin responded to a fan's post on Twitter. The fan said that she will be Paquin's happiest fan if the actress would play her role as Rogue once again. Paquin replied "if I get to fly, absolutely."
The fan clarified with the actress if she was implying that she will not be playing the character. Paquin explained that she wants to play a "badass" rogue and not a shy one. Also, the mutant can fly in the comic book while her character in the film was not seen flying.
There was an instance in the comics that Rogue was capable of flying, as per Cinema Blend. There was a point in which she absorbed the powers of Ms. Marvel, giving her the ability to fly. Aside from flying, Rogue possessed protection from poison as well as boosts in strength and speed.
The "X-Men" franchise has to have a marginal origin story for Rogue in order for her to have the mentioned powers she got from Ms. Marvel, since Ms. Marvel is a character from Marvel Studios.
Meanwhile, fans can see Rogue in the extended cut of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" this summer, as per Comic Book. It includes a new footage that will run for more than ten minutes and it will center on Rogue and Magneto.
Whether Rogue will appear in "X-Men: Apocalypse" or not, fans will see additional characters in the film since "X-Men: First Class." Also, the upcoming Bryan Singer's film is said to direct the path of the succeeding films of the franchise as previously revealed by producer Simon Kinberg.
Directed by Singer, "X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to premiere on May 27, 2016.
