Sony Launches Xperia Z4 On Japanese Website: 5.2 Inch Full HD Display With Snapdragon 810

Sony announced on its Japanese website that it is to launch its latest flagship smartphone the Xperia Z4 mid this year.

The launching of the latest smartphone product will also be released internationally but there is no definite date given as of yet.

The new Xperia Z4 follows the previous year released Sony Xperia Z3. It has the same 5.2-inch full HD display and it is a little thinner with its 6.9mm, 144-gram design.  The phone's façade measures 146mm by 72mm, with a slim bezel around the 1,920x1,080-pixel screen, according to CNET.

The new Xperia Z4 has a few upgrades besides its thinner and lighter mass on a metal frame. It also has a 64-bit octo-core chipset backed by 3GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 810 SoC. Its internal storage has a 32GB capacity which is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD.

The Xperia Z4 has a 20.7MP Exmor RS shooter, with a capacity of camera shake correction of up to ISO 12800 with its BOINZ image processor. The phone's video capture is up to 1080p or 4K at 60fps. The front shooter has 5.1MP with full HD video capture, Android Authority reported.

The micro USB port on the side of the smartphone is IP6X dust and IPX5/IPX8 water certified. It is packed with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and Sony's LDAC Bluetooth platform for high quality audio. Its battery power has a 2,930mAh battery pack that can last up to 17 hours of talk time over a 3G network.

The Sony Xperia Z4 comes in several colors: Black, White, Copper, and Aqua Green.
