Superstar John Travolta is all excited and geared up as he prepares himself for "American Crime Story." The upcoming series will revisit the infamous 1995 murder trial of O.J. Simpson.

The 61-year-old star was speaking during an interview with MTV news ahead of the release of his new movie, "The Forger." The actor has admittedly started his research for his character and is trying to inculcate Shapiro's mannerism and way of talking for the best effect.

The upcoming 10-episode crime series will cover the infamous O.J. Simson murder case, where in the retired the American football player was charged with the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.

The infamous jury trial became one of the most talked about crime stories of American history with almost 100 million people stoppping their daily work to check out the verdict announcement given on Oct 3, 1995. The jury acquitted the NFL star, who was later found liable for the wrongful death and was told to cough out  $33.5 million in damages to victims' families.

Robert Kardashian, reality TV star Kim Kardashian's father, was also the part of Simpson's defense counsel. In fact, following the murder, Simpson was said to have gone into hiding and stayed in Kardashian's house for few days before getting arrested after the infamous car chase pursuit which was telecasted live on TV.
