Scarlett Johansson came to John Travolta's defense as he was pictured kissing her on the Oscars red carpet. He is a class act. Travolta was caught on camera planting a kiss on Johansson at the red carpet Oscars night. Thing brought about and became an internet meme.
The "Avengers: Age of Ultron" star explained that she has not seen him in years and it is always a pleasure to see him. She also disclosed that the photo was an unfortunate still-frame from a person to person encounter which she finds totally sweet and very welcome, Yahoo! Celebrity reported.
"That still photo does not reflect what preceded and followed if you see the moment live. Yet another way we are misguided, misinformed and sensationalized by the 24-hour news cycle," Johansson said.
Johansson starred with Travolta in "A Long Song For Bobby Long" in 2004, where the actress got her Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress in a motion picture, Drama.
On the other hand, Travolta's representative disclosed that the moment where his client was presented and remembered for his awards season, and gave Idina Menzel's face a few nice strokes once they presented the Best Original Song together was planned all along, according to E! Online.
Travolta's rep added that it was totally planned and he enjoyed working with Menzel. Also that he is having a wonderful time at the Oscars since Kelly Preston, his wife, and Ella, their daughter are both present in the audience.
