The iOS 8.3 Update – Bug Fixes, Upgrades and More: Is iOS 9 Arriving Soon?

Apple released their latest update iOS 8.3 for the iPhone 6 and iPad. Although they haven't made any public release statement but they released a beta version to developers. This was followed by another couple of  Beta updates and it was the first time Apple have released Beta versions for free, which could shape up the future of the iOS platform.

With rumors that iOS 9 will be released soon and even the possibility of Apple releasing the next update 8.4 in the summer, lots of users are currently in a dilemma of whether to update to the iOS 8.3 or not. It has been three weeks since the update was released and it has gathered positive reactions from users and developers alike, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

The most significant change comes in the form of a modified keyboard that looks to be much simpler and accessible. The keyboard now has over 300 new Emojis. The screen placement and space for the keyboard is better and makes typing easier. This update also brings in some much needed stability to the platform according to Day Herald.

Now almost all applications are now compatible on the iOS platform including Google Chrome which had high incidence of crashing. Error reporting is also extremely simplified. Spam filters are far superior than before and makes spam reporting easy as well.

Ancillary communication applications like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE are also reported to be working fine now. Another biggest advantage in this update is that the upgrade does no harm to the battery life as well. The overall operation of the platform is smooth and there are no hiccups or incidents of the phone hanging up. The sheer number of bug fixes that the development team has performed is remarkable.

It is definitely worth a shot to get your device updated to this iOS version. It can be downgraded to 8.2 anytime one wants.
