Pepsi Co will be unveiling its latest product Pepsi Limon cola which contains real lime juice and sugar which aims to conquer the Hispanic market.

The new cola with be out in the market on the 18th of May in California, Chicago, New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona. The soda giant had done similar products in the past all over the globe. The company used to sell Diet Pepsi Lime and Pepsi Lime however they stopped both products few years back, Ad Age reported.

Diet Coke has its Lime version which contains citric acid and is still out in the market today as well as Pepsi Twist which still sells in the Latin America regions.

Pepsi Limon is made from real lime juice and sugar cane which is very different from the United Stated version which was flavored artificially. This idea came about from Hispanic/Latin employee group named Adelante whose objective is to come up with a different culture within the PepsiCo community.

"They told me we need lime," explained CEO for PepsiCo Americas Beverages, Al Carey. "No, we need real lime juice in the product," said the Adelante group.

The consuming public wanted real and natural ingredients and PepsiCo replied with the launching of carbonated soda drinks which contains real sugar instead of the high fructose corn syrup. These products included Pepsi Limon and a clear citrus beverage Dew Shine, according to Food Business News.

The Pepsi Limon soda product contains two percent real Mexican Lime juice. The Adelante group has brought several Pepsi products in the market and this included Tapatio flavoured Doritos and Flamin' Hot Cheetos.
