Dr. Phil may have taken a discreet jab at Bruce Jenner with regards to his highly publicized alleged gender transition. When he had a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, he insinuated that it “would be boring” to talk to him about the matter.

Kimmel had apparently asked the famous TV doctor about how he felt upon finding out that the former Olympian had opted to have the exclusive one-on-one tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer.

“First off, I would say, ‘Look, if it is what you want to do, do it,’” he told Kimmel, according to The New York Daily News. “I mean, what the hell does it matter what anybody else thinks.”

He then pointed out to everyone that the Kardashian/Jenner patriarch may have one major obstacle for the completion of his sex change process, and that will be his age. Jenner is already 65 years old – an age which Dr. Phil has referred to as “past the prime.”

“I guess we would spend the next hour and 59 minutes saying, ‘You are almost 80, what is the point?’” he added.

However, a couple of days after his interview with Kimmel, it would appear that his statements took a different turn. The TV doctor’s change of heart became apparent in an exclusive statement that he gave People.

“I have said long and loud – it is never too late to make a life change,” he said. “I am personally cheering him on. I am glad he has decided to set himself free in order to live his life authentically. It is his life and his body and his decision. More power to him.”
