In a shocking revelation, Bruce Jenner disclosed that he contemplated suicide when the news of his gender transition first broke out in media. The confession was made at "20/20" by Diane Sawyer.
During the two-hour long tell-all interview telecasted just now on ABC, the former Olympian opened up and declared to the world that he is a woman and is struggling with his gender issues since childhood.
The 65-year-old recalled the time when paparazzi caught him while on a doctor's appointment get a trachial shave. The reality TV personality told Sawyer on ABC show thta he was so much moved by the media reports and his pictures on internet that he had a passing thought that it's better to end the life.
"And I thought, wouldn't the easiest thing to be right now, and I could see where people get to that-is go in the room, get a gun. Boom. You know? Pain's over," said the decathlon champion during the much awaited interview.
The patriarch of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star later dumped the idea of ending life and decided to see how his life takes the route.
Jenner also revealed that he initiated the gender transition more than two decades ago. All his wives, including Kris Jenner, were aware of his habit of cross dressing on rare occasionally. He admitted that he loved wearing his mother's and sister's dresses when alone in the house when he was nine-year-old. Later, he continued cross-dressing in his adult life with hotel rooms providing him the complete anonymity.
Since his split from Kris, the TV personality was rumoured to be undergoing gender transition. This is t first time that he has spoken openly about the issue and ended the year-long speculations. CNN has deemed the former athlete's ABC interview as America's transgender moment.
