Former NBA player Lamar Odom, 35, has been reportedly supporting Bruce Jenner, 65, in his transition from male to female as he still treats the stepfather of his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, 30, as his father-in-law.
"Lamar sees Bruce as a father figure and respects all the advice and wisdom Bruce has given him over the years," a source revealed to Hollywood Life.
According to the source, the former Los Angeles Lakers teammate of Kobe Bryant, 36, admires Jenner and thinks that if it is "his life's quest to be a woman, then by all means, he should do it."
The source added that Odom is incredibly supportive of Jenner and his gender transition and noted that "it takes a big man to live in his truth and Lamar thinks Bruce will be very happy in his new life."
Meanwhile, Kardashian is set to write a book to be published by Regan Arts about strength and true beauty development in a "culture that worships skinny," People has learned.
Odom's estranged wife told the magazine that she is very excited about sharing to her fans her philosophy on the power of strength and on how she lives. She also said she hopes to inspire readers everywhere and teach them how to create their beauty inside and out and their own true strength.
Hitting shelves on Nov. 3, the book is yet to be titled. It will be launched on May 31 at BookCon, which will be filmed for "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
Odom and Kardashian got married in September 2009 but the latter filed for divorce on Dec. 23, 2013.
