For the first time, Bruce Jenner confirmed that he is indeed transitioning from male to female. In his highly anticipated interview with Diane Sawyer aired on ABC on April 24, Friday, the former Olympics gold medallist talked about the details of his gender transition.
''Yes, for all intents and purposes I am a woman," Jenner told Sawyer in the two-hour interview special titled "Bruce Jenner: The Interview."
Jenner also said that his brain is "much more female than it is male."
Over the past months, Jenner was mum about his gender transition, which seemed to confirm the rumors, especially when his exclusive interview with Sawyer was announced.
As for Brandon Jenner, his concern when he found out that his father is transgender was who Bruce would want to be in a relationship with in the future. He told ABC News that "in life, we're all looking for love and so many things are done in the world just to try to gain love."
Meanwhile, Bruce's stepdaughter Kim Kardashian recently denied the rumors that their family is divided amid his gender transition.
On April 24, Friday, prior to the airing of "Bruce Jenner: The Interview," Kardashian was honoured at the Variety Power of Women event in New York along with Whoopi Goldberg, Glenn Close, Lena Dunham, and Rachel Weisz, Huffington Post reported.
During the event, Kardashian told reporters, "Our family is super supportive of everything that we do and you know we're gonna watch the special tonight and support Bruce and watch it with him tonight."
Jenner has six biological children and four stepchildren. He was once dubbed as the world's greatest athlete after winning the Decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada.
