The electronics giant Microsoft unveiled the first holographic computer, HoloLens, running on Windows 10. It is expected to be released in September.
Microsoft will release the device alongside the latest Windows variant, Windows 10. The product came into lime light in January when Microsoft confessed to building a product of this efficiency.
According to the experts, the HoloLens will cost around $500. This is in sharp contrast to the latest version of the Apple Watch which invited both awe and gloom from gadget freaks globally owing to its off the roof price.
Moreover, specifying the physical construction of the device, Christian Times remarked that the device would be housed in a helmet like structure and would be completely wireless. It will house three set of processors, one of them would be Holographic Processing Unit, a first of its kind present in the market nowadays.
The device is all set to integrate the real and virtual worlds using its futuristic design. Microsoft is also working with Xbox to build games for the gadget. The main reason being cited for the above is that no gadget of this genre can survive if there are no practicalities attached to it.
Microsoft's official website says that this device is one of its kind which would help the users to pin holograms in the physical environment and provides a new way to see the world. Besides, it features see-through, holographic, high definition lenses and spatial sound which helps to not only see but also hear the holograms around its user.
However, the real practicability and ease of use of HoloLens would only be revealed once the device is launched for real.
