Britain's Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, holds her son Prince George as they prepare to board a plane with her husband Prince William (not pictured) to depart Canberra April 25, 2014.

The great wait for the Kate Middleton and Prince William's second baby got more exciting when the royalist camping outside the Lindo Wing received breakfast and coffees delivered to them by the Duchess of Cambridge herself.

Duchess is well past her due date which was earlier announced as April 25. As soon as the date started approaching, hundreds of fans, paparazzi and TV camera crews started camping outside the hospital to catch the first flicker of news. On Tuesday morning, they received a huge surprise from Kensington Palace in the form of hot coffee and breakfast pastries delivered from a local patisserie.

The Telegraph reported that the pregnant Duchess took pity on the so-called royalist who refuse to go away in the wake of chilly England weather and asked her staff to deliver hot coffee, croissants and Danish pastries to the group of people.

The delicacies came wrapped in pink ribbons which led the tongue wagging that it is a hint by the Princess that she is expecting a girl this time. An insider later declared that it was a pure coincidence as the shop who delivered the breakfast uses only pink ribbons.

"The Duke and Duchess were aware that they had been out there for a long time and just wanted to do something for them," said a source of Kensington Palace.

Rumours are circuating on internet that the baby will probably arrive on April 29. The royal watchers reported the increase in activity to New York Daily News in the form of sniffer dogs and protection officer seen entering inside the hospital early in the morning. While Duke and Duchess do not know the gender of their child yet, bookies are heavily banking on a girl called Alice.

While the world is waiting eagerly for the second royal baby, Duchess Middleton does not seem to be in a hurry. The nine-month-pregnant Princess was spotted driving out of Buckingham Palace recently. She was pictured behind the wheel along with a bodyguard while Prince George and his nanny tucked away in the back seat.
