Few months are left before the premiere of "X-Men: Apocalypse" and film maker Bryan Singer, together with writer-producer Simon Kinberg, revealed the plot details and aces of the upcoming film.
Singer and Kiberg believe that "X-Men: Apocalypse" stands competent to become the biggest film of the franchise, according to Empire Online. According to the film helmer, "Apocalypse" himself is the "secret weapon" of the film. The supervillain will be played by "Star Wars" actor Oscar Isaac.
Four concept arts are also accessible in Empire. The first photo looks like an aircraft, along with three people presumably Jean Grey, Scott Summers, and Charles Xavier.
The second image is the new incarnation of the mutant Angel, who is to be played by Ben Hardy.
A pyramidal structure in an antiquated locale is the highlight of the third image, which is assumed to have an important role in the upcoming film.
The fourth image shows the telepath Charles Xavier, who is using the cerebra.
In addition, the film will showcase the younger versions of three iconic "X-Men" characters - Storm, Scott Summers/Cyclops, Jean Grey, and - who are to be played by "Days of Our Lives" actress Alexandra Shipp, "Joe" actor Tye Sheridan, and "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner, respectively.
With the alter ego of Ororo Munroe, Storm is always in the good side in the previous "X-Men" films, as per Cinema Blend. Kinberg explains that "X-Men: Apocalypse" presents the weather witch as "a troubled character who is going down the wrong path in life." Does this mean fans can see Storm in the dark side?
Summers is one of the primary leaders of the "X-Men." However, Sheridan's version in "X-Men: Apocalypse" is not yet a virtuous leader. This may present contrast to James Marsden's version of the Cyclops, who displayed a "bland" personality in the earlier films.
Jean Grey's version in the upcoming film is an interesting case since her background was touched a bit in "X-Men: The Last Stand," as per Cinema Blend. Turner's take on the character is "complex, interesting, and not fully mature," as per Kinberg. In addition, Grey can be seen struggling with her powers, potentially becoming the "most powerful person in the world."
Along with Isaac, hardy, Shipp, Sheridan, and Turner, the film also stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Olivia Munn, and Rose Byrne.
"X-Men: Apocalypse: is slated to premiere on May 27, 2016.
