"NCIS" Los Angeles Season 6 may have Michael Weatherly's Tony DiNozzo in one of its last few episodes. The CBS show's verified Twitter account on Wednesday gave fans a hint about this possibility.
The NCIS tweet was not specific about any information with regards to Weatherly's guest appearance on "NCIS: Los Angeles." The photo that accompanies the tweet, however, shows no other "NCIS" character crossing over.
The CBS website also carries the same "NCIS" crossover update, but there are no other details in its report, too. It remains to be seen whether the DiNozzo crossover special will air in "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 6 or in its next chapter.
For its part, CBS has yet to officially renew both "NCIS" shows. (Only "NCIS: New Orleans" has been officially renewed, so far. DiNozzo, meanwhile, has an existing contract with NCIS show bosses up to 2016.
There have been rumors that Michael Weatherly is leaving "NCIS," but this was never confirmed. Aside from his active contract, DiNozzo's guesting on "NCIS: Los Angeles" somehow suggests his character is staying.
Meanwhile, fans are getting anxious over the "NCIS" Season 12 finale spoilers and teasers. Many fans have deduced from the episode synopsis that someone will die. Others have gone to thinking that Cote de Pablo's Ziva David (Weatherly's on-screen partner) will come back and eventually be killed off.
The "NCIS" Season 12 finale will air on May 12; the "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 6 finale will air on May 18. Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Sam (LL COOL J), Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) go to Moscow to catch their suspects in this season-ender.
