The widely popular video game, "Tony Hawk Pro Skater," was recently confirmed to make a comeback. Tony Hawk along with publisher Activision and the game's developer Robomodo and Disruptive Games all confirmed that the "Pro Skater 5" is on the works.

According to Game Informer, the new game will make use of its classic gameplay mechanics along with added features like power-ups and a new skill which gives players the ability to shoot projectiles. The game is slated to be released later this year.

The game will be launched on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, according to TechRadar. The game will be subsequently released on other platform on a later date.

Some of the biggest names included in the game as playable characters are Aaron Homoki, Chris Cole, Nyjah Huston, Leticia Bufoni, Ishod Wair, Riley Hawk, Andrew Reynolds and of course Tony Hawk himself.

"Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5" will also offer an online mode which will allow players to play both co-op and competitive mode. The usual offline mode will still be part of the game. Players will also have the ability to create their own skate parks and using the game's online mode they can share it with the world.

Robomodo, one of the game's developer, is also responsible for making "Tony Hawk" games in the past. These include "Tony Hawk: Ride" and "Tony Hawk: Shred."

Although the game was announced to be released only in consoles, many PC gamers are hoping that the game's developer will be released on desktop computers as well.
