Samsung is bringing camera updates to both Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 through Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

According to Sam Mobile, the excellent camera features are not part of the Android 5.1.1 version that went with the T-Mobile released smartphones.

T-Mobile has halted the OTA update release for the most recent Android Lillipop version, indicating that it was still an unfinished version that required more tweaking.

Although no specific details were given as to what it will offer Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6, sources say that the upcoming Android Lollipop update will provide the cameras full software support for Google's API for the Lollipop. When this is fully manifested, both flagship devices will have the capacity to perform RAW image production and manage shutter speeds- two features professional photographers will be happy about.

It is said that all updates that both models will have will also be incorporated on Samsung's most recent project codenamed "Samsung Zen/Samsung Noble" although it is believed to be Galaxy Note 5.

With the predecessors capacity of putting down Apple's iPhone 6, the Galaxy Note 5 is said to be launched anytime soon offering the same "beating" caliber. To be launched possibly within the week, customers could expect all Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge camera patches to be present in the phablet.

DxOMark commented that Samsung smartphones, specifically the Galaxy S6 Edge, is the "best smartphone camera" ever existed, putting down other competitors, including iPhone 6, Tech Times wrote.

While DxOMark has yet to test Galaxy S6,  it is more likely to receive the same remarks since its camera is similar to the S6 Edge.
