Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge is reportedly bound to receive the latest Androids 5.1.1 Lollipop OS update and it will bring dramatic improvements in the camera features of both devices.

SamMobile cited sources who were close to Samsung saying that the South Korean tech company is working on a big software update that will be pushed to Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The camera update is similar to what HTC One M9 received that greatly improved the quality of the photos.

Last week, T-Mobile allegedly rolled out the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge via Over-The-Air update. According to Christian Today, XDA Developer user Eduardo Mera, also known as Sunderwear, showed a video of the Samsung device running with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. The handset will make a big jump as it is currently running with Android 5.0.2 version of the operating system.

The software made significant changes in the handset. For example, Galaxy S6 Edge updated the locks of the bootloader device and repaired the memory leak of the previous Android Lollipop OS. Another feature of the new Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS is Guest Mode, which allows multiple users to access the device, but will protect the personal data of the owner. Guest mode users may also save their own apps and messages. The handset will also be equipped with Kids Mode feature that will provide safety to the device, especially to young users.

However, Samsung has not confirmed whether it will roll out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS update to its current flagship smartphones.
