For the third consecutive year, Forbes Magazine released its much-awaited "China Celebrity Power List" on Monday, May 11.

This year, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing bagged the number one spot, beating singer and actor Jay Chou and Nicholas Tse, who landed the second and third spot, respectively.

Fan Bingbing recently starred in the Chinese period drama "The Empress of China" as Wu Zeitan, the only female emperor in Chinese history.

The Chinese actress is reported to have made an impressive 128 million yuan ($20.62 million) last year. Aside from having a profitable year, Fan Bingbing enjoyed some time in the spotlight as her latest film "Ever Since We Love" garnered positive box-office revenues.

Fan Bingbing was also ranked the most influential Chinese celebrity by the magazine in 2014.

Jay Chou landed the second spot, earning an annual income of 101.5 million yuan ($16.35 million) in the past year. His marriage to 21-year-old model Hannah Quinlivan last year also made headlines.

Actor, chef and entrepreneur extraordinaire Nicholas Tse was named the third most influential Chinese celebrity. His relationship with singer-songwriter Faye Wong was a frequent topic in entertainment columns in 2014. His annual income was reported to be 77.5 million yuan ($12.48 million), mostly thanks to his successful gourmet food reality show. Faye Wong was also mentioned in the list, earning the 73rd spot.

Other celebrities included in the list's top 10 are actors Jackie Chan, Huang XIaoming, Sun Li, Zhao Wei and Andy Lau. Li Yi Feng and Eason Chan completed the top 10.

To determine each of the celebrities' commercial value, Forbes Magazine took into consideration their annual income and exposure.
