The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is now getting the official Android 5.0.2 Lollipop over-the-air update.
Both the cellular data and WiFi-only versions of the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 device are receiving the update to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

The update will bring a new lockscreen panel, notifications improvements and Material Design. In addition, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OTA update will bring the new TouchWiz UI, which brings improvements to the speed of the interface and multitasking.

At present, the WiFi version of the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 Lollipop update is rolling out OTA in Spain, and the LTE version is in Finland. It is expected that English versions of the OS will start rolling out OTA anytime soon.

If users have not got an update notification yet, they should check their Settings > About Device > Software Update to see if they can push an over-the-air update to their Galaxy Tab 4 10.1

The download is 1GB in size, therefore, users need to make sure that they are on WiFi before starting the update, even if they have an LTE-capable version of the tablet.

It's likely that the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will get the same update soon. However, according to Android Community, South Korean-based manufacturer Samsung has not yet said if they will be updating the other Tab 4 variants.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It has 16GB of internal storage and 1.5GB of RAM. The tablet boasts a 10.1-inch HD display with a 1280x800 resolution, according to Android Authority.
