Jay Z and Beyoncé Knowles are one of the most powerful couples in music industry.

Beyoncé and Jay Z recently took a subtle stand against brutality when they met and comforted the family of Freddie Gray, the man who died in the police custody last month. The couple was in Baltimore for "Rally 4 Peace" event on May 9.

The couple was joined by Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, and their good friend, Alicia Keys. The iconic couple not only met and spent some quality time with the slain man's grieving family, they also comforted Lesley McSpadden, the mother of Mike Brown, 18, who was reportedly shot to death by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri.

The singer and her entourage posed for pictures with the families, showing their solidarity in the fight for equality and peace. Although the pictures were not posted by them online, an Instagram fan account dedicated to the Queen Bee called @Beylite shared the pics. See the pics here.

To show support for the rally, legendary singer Prince had organized a special concert at the Royal farms arena on Sunday, where he performed a song that he had written following Gray's death and the riots that occurred after his funeral, titled "Baltimore," Latin Post reported.

The performance was live streamed by the Jay Z's music service Tidal.

Prince also invited family members of Brown and Gray to the concert where they reportedly met "Beautiful Liar" hit maker at the backstage arena, where the pictures in question are said to be taken.

Jay Z, who is reportedly matching donations made through the rally's website to the "Baltimore Justice Fund," has never hesitated to join the ongoing campaign against police brutality, New York Daily News reported.

The hip-hop couple's presence in the "Rally 4 Peace" event on Sunday in itself was a statement that they are backing and supporting the people against police's mistreatment and undue behaviour.
