"Gossip Girl" alum Chace Crawford is back with a new ABC drama titled "Oil," which is about a couple looking to trade in on the modern-day oil boom in North Dakota.
According to the synopsis released by ABC, the story of "Oil" revolves around Bill Lefever (Crawford) and Cody Lefever (Rebecca Rittenhouse) who dream of "a new life beyond their working class roots and move to 'The Bakken' in North Dakota, booming after the biggest oil discovery in American history."
Soon, Crawford and Rittenhouse's "Oil" characters are set against a cruel tycoon who coerces them "to bet big and put everything on the line, including their marriage."
Joining Crawford and Rittenhouse in the "Oil" cast are stars Don Johnson, Amber Valletta, Scott Michael Foster, India de Beaufort, Yani Gellman, Caitlin Carver, Delroy Lindo, Shaun Toub, Mario DeAngelis, Marlon V. Gaines, Gerry Garcia, Spencer Garrett, K. Danol Gerald and Chelsea Gerald, among others.
On May 12, Tuesday, Crawford and Rittenhouse attended the 2015 ABC Upfront presentation at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall in New York City to promote "Oil," Just Jared reported.
Also in the event are his fellow "Gossip Girl" alum Ed Westwick with his "Wicked City" co-star Erika Christensen and "How To Get Away With Murder" stars including Karla Souza Jack Falahee, Liza Weil, Aja Naomi King and Charlie Weber.
Before hitting the red carpet at the 2015 ABC Upfront, Crawford had his had his hair cut and was accompanied by Westwick. Crawford's hairstylist Anh Co Tran took to Instagram to share a photo of the two "Gossip Girl" actors.
