After Vin Diesel's announcement of "Furious 8" release date, which is on April 14, 2017, there is yet to be a confirmation about the cast of the sequel post Paul Walker era. Among those who are rumored to return are Jason Statham and Luke Ewans who play the Shaw brothers, Deckard and Owen.
In "Furious 6," Owen Shaw was believed to be dead but was later discovered to be barely alive at the start of "Furious 7." Thus, he and his brother Deckard Shaw, who was but imprisoned at the end of "Furious 7," may be back in "Furious 8" to they seek revenge against Dominic Toretto and his crew, according to Ecumenical News.
Prior to "Furious 7," Statham starred in "The Expendables 3," "Wild Card" and "Spy." He is set to appear in the action thriller "Mechanic: Resurrection" in 2016 with Tommy Lee Jones, Jessica Alba, Michelle Yeoh, Natalie Burn, Tomer Oz and John Cenatiempo, among others.
Evans, on the other hand, is set to appear in the 2015 films "Three Seconds" and "High Rise" and in the 2016 films "SAS: Red Notice," "Message from the King" and "Free Fire" as well as the 2017 film "Beauty and the Beast."
Recently, Evans hit the studio to record for "Beauty and the Beast" with Josh Gad. Evans will play Gaston while Gad will play the sidekick Le Fou.
Meanwhile, Statham was seen on May 14, Thursday, with his arms around his model girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley while they walked together with their Dachshunds in Malibu, according to Daily Mail.
