After a successful launch in several regions including the United States and Russia, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 will finally hit stores in the United Kingdom on May 21.
According to GSM Arena, a bigger model compared to the ones offered in the US will be introduced in the UK market. Unfortunately, Samsung did not announce the tablets official pricing. Currently, US pricing for the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 starts at $300 which is roughly around £190 when converted.
Three variants of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 will be offered in the UK; a Wi-Fi and LTE-capable model, a Wi-Fi only model and a model that comes with the S Pen stylus, according to PC Advisor.
Aside from differences in data connectivity, all Galaxy Tab A 9.7 models have the same measurement; 166.8mm x 242.5mm x 7.5mm with an HD resolution of 1024 x 768.
Each model is powered by a four-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 1.2 GHz processor with 2 gigabytes of internal memory. The tablet has a 16 gigabyte storage capacity which can be expanded to as much as 128 gigabyte through the microSD memory card slot.
Compared to its previous model, the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 will have an upgraded 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera has Auto Focus technology and can record videos with a maximum resolution of 720p.
All three Galaxy Tab A 9.7 models will have a powerful 6000 mAh battery which Samsung claims can last up to 10 hours on a single charge. All three models will also run on the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
