Bitsie Tulloch As Bad Juliette In 'Grimm' Season 4

"Grimm" Season 4 finale proves that the show is serious about going down the dark path. It's more than just monsters now. The fantasy horror drama has a toddler killing her grandpa, and a previously happily-in-love couple are killing each other. Is Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) really dead? The show bosses answer questions.

Spoiler alert: This update contains "Grimm" Season 4 spoilers. Read on at your own risk. Here's what Bitsie Tulloch said on Twitter about the finale.

"Juliette is dead," "Grimm" co-creator and show boss Jim Kouf told TV Line. His co-creator and fellow show boss David Greenwalt noted, "Sure looks like it." TV Line specifically asked if Juliette would be in "Grimm" Season 5. The bosses said Juliette "is gone."

"Thank you #Grimmsters, for everything. What a season! I am so grateful for @NBCGrimm's loyal, terrific fans and to @nbc for giving us life!" Bitsie Tulloch posted this on Twitter after the "Grimm" Season 4 finale premiered on NBC.

"I got whiplash from that choking scene, [and because] it was [the] 1st scene I filmed during ep, I was in pain/stiff the rest of the time," further tweeted the actress who has portrayed Juliette Silverton on "Grimm" for four seasons.

Juliette's death on the "Grimm" Season 4 finale "seemed like that was something inevitable that had to happen," Greenwalt told The Hollywood Reporter. It turns out Juliette would have still been alive if she got on the helicopter with the king. It seems Juliette was unaware of Martin Meisner's (Damien Puckler) plan.

On board the helicopter, Diana shows her royal grandpa king the sign of death, despite his efforts to smother her with affection. Then, Meisner, the Resistance fighter who helped Adalind give birth to Diana, shows up and throws the king off the helicopter.

"Kings can't fly!" Kouf told TV Line when asked whether the king is truly dead. This leaves Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) the only living royal in the upper hierarchy. He is a bastard, though, and he may have more prince cousins.

Juliette's death and the king's death will take "Grimm" Season 5 to an even darker path, the show bosses revealed. As important as Prince Kenneth's (Nico Evers-Swindell) death may be, the truth is there are others like him; Victor (Alexander Denisof) is still alive, after all. But Juliette and the king were playing very unique roles. What happens next to the "Grimm" characters?

Toward the end, FBI Agent Chavez (Elizabeth Rodriguez) gives order to her agents in front of Nick's house -- moments after Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) puts Juliette down. Who does she want to get - Trubel or Juliette?

Kouf, Greenwalt and their writers have a lot of room to play with storylines in "Grimm" Season 5. What happens next won't be known to fans until October this year.
