Lufthansa App now Available on Apple Watch

Apple Watch faced a lot of criticism for not being a finished product on launch but it did not stop major brands, and retailers from launching their apps on smart wearable device. Lufthansa is the newest addition to the app store.

Lufthansa is a popular airline service in the European region and is one of the biggest which has launched an app specially designed for Apple Watch users. The application is aimed at frequent travelers who need to be notified of flight updates so that they could plan their travel accordingly without missing their trip and being there on time.

According to Capital Berg, the app will immediately send a digital copy of the ticket to the watch once the confirmation process is complete. It will also create a reminder so as to remind the user before the check in hour.

In a situation where the flight gets delayed by a specific time, a quick message will be sent in advance so that passengers may not have to arrive earlier and wait for hours in the airport. The most unique feature of them all is that people who use Lufthansa flight will be able to use their watch as their boarding pass and they will no longer have to rely on physical printed booklets.

Clapway reported that passengers will also receive additional updates on their Apple watch including their seat number, the terminal, weather and time of the destination in which they are about to land. The app will automatically sync with the Lufthansa app available on the iPhone and iPad to retrieve information as required.

With more brands coming onboard to support Apple, the Cupertino company should be able to convince customers that their wearable device is a worthy investment.
