Sony Xperia Z4 successor Sony Lavender packs a bezel-less design. The midrange smartphone is targeted at the selfie crowd and hence it possesses a 13 MP primary camera.

Samsung pioneered the development of Bezel less designs with its Galaxy S6 and S6 EDGE handsets. Twitter handle @upleaks leaked the images of Sony Lavender, which is being launched to succeed Sony Xperia Z4.

Sony Lavender uses a 1.7 GHz Octa-cored processor. Besides some models will be available in Dual SIM variants. Other Sony Lavender features include a 2GB RAM although no revelation about the size of the display was made, according to I4UNews. Besides, it is also rumored that the handset houses a full LED flash.

In spite of losing out its market share to various other smart phone manufacturers, the Japanese electronics giant Sony is putting its heart and soul into catering to the demands of the consumers.

Consumers started shifting to the concept of edge to edge screen or a bezel less design ever since Samsung Galaxy S6. It is believed that the thinner the bezel on the phone, the more chic it seems to become.  The technology website Geek Says anticipates a screen size of at least 5" to break even the pixel quality.

It seems Sony wants to keep this developmental process under wraps and hence did not make any revelations about the price and the launch date of the handset. Further rumors allege that Sony is thinking of numbering the handset model as E5503.

Experts also seem to believe that since the device houses MediaTek MT6752 processor instead of Snapdragon, so it shall be priced lower than the regular flagship models of Sony.
