NBA star Jeremy Lin recently took to Twitter to recommend a must-read book. In the tweet, Kobe Bryant's Los Angeles teammate even called himself a nerd. The Asian American point guard attended Harvard University from 2006 to 2010.

"If you're looking for a must-read book, checkout Overrated by @EugeneCho ... loved reading it! #summerreading #nerdtweet," Lin tweeted on May 21 referring to pastor Eugene Cho's book "Overrated: Are We More in Love with the Idea of Changing the World Than Actually Changing the World," which is available onAmazon.

Before making Linsanity a thing, Lin graduated from Harvard University with an economics degree. He went on to play for the Golden State Warriors from 2010 to 2011, for the New York Knicks from 2011 to 2012, for the Houston Rockets from 2012 to 2014 and currently for the Los Angeles Lakers.

While in Harvard, Lin was a leader in the university's Asian American Christian Fellowship. As an evangelical Christian, he hopes to become a pastor who can head up non-profit organizations. He is one of the celebrity athletes who are open about their Christian beliefs along with Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Tim Tebow and the New York Knicks head coach Derek Fisher.

In an interview with Inside Local in July 2014, Lin said even with constant setbacks and trade rumors and even when his jersey number was given away, he was "still so much more joyful and at peace" than he was after all the worldly success of Linsanity, which he said was "evident of a stronger relationship with God and that's true success."
