According to reports, there is no new Nexus tablet planned for this year. However, the tech giant Google will be launching two Nexus smartphones this year. One of these smartphones will be made by Huawei and other by LG. There are details circulating on the Internet of two new Nexus phones that are anticipated later this year.
So the Nexus 9 will remain Google's flagship tablet for 2015 and you will not be able to see a new Nexus tablet in any size this year, according to GSMArena. However, it will be the first year when the software giant Google is working with two Android manufacturers to introduce two different Nexus smartphones.
The phone made by Huawei will be codenamed Angler and the phone manufactured by LG will be codenamed Bullhead.
According to reports, China's Huawei would be launching a bigger 5.7-inch model and South Korea's LG was looking to launch a 5.2-inch Nexus.
The Huawei Angler will allegedly be a more hefty device with a 5.7-inch screen. Also, the smartphone manufacturer Huawei is planning to use a Snapdragon 810 in this Nexus. It is believed that the battery capacity in Angler will be 3500mAh, Tech2 reported. The Huawei Angler is being referred as the 2015 Nexus 6.
It is rumored that the LG Bullhead will have a 5.2-inch screen and a 2700mAh battery. At present, LG is planning on a Snapdragon 808 in this smartphone. The new LG Bullhead is being referred to as the 2015 Nexus 5.
Both the Huawei Angler and the LG Bullhead should be out in the normal Nexus time frame around October.
Other specifications of these two Nexus smartphones are not known at this point. However, we will probably see more rumors and leaks before the anticipated October/ November debut of the new Nexus devices.
