According to a report from tech pundit Artem Russakovskii, the software giant Google will come out with two Nexus phones this year. One will be made by LG and the other will be produced by Huawei.
It is not yet known what kind of devices these are, according to Know Your Mobile. These reports are mostly speculative. Since 2012, LG and Google have been in a successful partnership, which raises the possibility of the two companies teaming up for Nexus 2015. Also, it would be the first time that Chinese smartphone maker Huawei would make Nexus powered phones.
According to reports, LG will be making a high-end version of the Nexus phone and Huawei would make an affordable Nexus handset. LG-made Nexus phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chipset, 5.2 inch display and 64 GB of storage.
MyDrivers, an online Chinese publication, reported that the Huawei Nexus smartphone will be made using the Mate 8 as a reference design, according to BGR. Mate 8 will be released in the coming months.
According to earlier reports, Huawei will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 for the Nexus. It is rumored that Huawei's Mate 8 will be a 6-inch phablet. The phablet is said to have a 20.7-megapixel camera, fingerprint sensor, 2560 x 1440 display, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, octa-core Kirin 930 processor and microSD support.
According to the recent report, the forthcoming Huawei Nexus phone will be powered by the the company's own octa-core Kirin 930 processor and may have a smaller 5.7-inch 2K screen. It is expected that Google will announce new Nexus devices this fall as soon as it launches Android M.
