Google Nexus 5 2015 release date is still unknown, but latest rumors claimed that the smartphone will be released later this year.
The tech giant is reportedly in talks with mobile manufacturers LG and Huawei. This immediately prompted rumors that Google will release high-end and mid-range smartphones.
Below is the comparison between the Nexus 6 specs and rumored Google Nexus 5 2015 features.
Screen Display
Nexus 6 packs 5.96 inches screen display, while the rumored Google Nexus 5 will shave off a few centimeters from the handset bringing it down to 5.3-inch or a 5.7-inch panel with 1440 x 2560 pixels.
Processor
The Nexus 6 is powered by quad core 2.7 GHz Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805. Meanwhile, the Google Nexus 5 2015 is purported to run with faster and more powerful Snapdragon 810 chipset.
Storage
The Nexus 6 smartphone is available in 32GB and 64GB storage variants. The upcoming Nexus handset will also be available in 32GB and 64GB models, but will come with microSD slot of up to 128GB.
Camera
The current Nexus 6 sports a 13 MP rear shooter and 2 MP secondary camera, while the Google Nexus 5 2015 is reported to pack a 16 MP back camera and 8 MP selfie camera.
Battery
Nexus 6 is powered by 3,220 mAh battery pack. Google Nexus 5 2015, on the other hand, will be supported by 3,000 mAh battery juice
Price
One of the reasons why Nexus 6 is a flop is due to its steep price unlike the previous Nexus smartphones that have friendly price tag. Nexus 6 costs like the flagship smartphones of Google's rivals like Samsung and HTC.
However, Google has not commented on the ongoing rumors and consumers can only sit back and wait for the handset's unveiling this year.
