Google Nexus 5 2015 release date may be few months away, but speculations are already up in the air. Latest rumors claimed that South Korean tech giant Samsung will take the helm in manufacturing the next Nexus smartphone.
A new Google Nexus 5 2015 concept image surfaced online courtesy of concept designer Miqdad Abdul Halim and posted the photo of his render in his Google+ account. The designer claimed that the handset is made by Samsung.
According to Concept Phones, the handset sports a 5.2 inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD pixel resolution. Since Samsung is in charged, the smartphone packs the powerful Exynos 7420 processor. Other features include 13 MP back camera and 2.1 MP front-facing camera, USB Type C connector, 2,700 mAh battery capacity with wireless charging feature.
Previous reports claimed that Google Nexus 5 2015 release date may take place in July at Google's annual I/O event in July as the new Nexus smartphone is reportedly in the works and will be ready by that time. This is earlier than the previous announcement of its predecessors.
Google reportedly leaked the Nexus 5 2015 in its video of its new Project Fi, which is its new wireless service. At the aforementioned event, Google will unveil a new version of its Android operating system this year, including the Project Fi. The tech giant may also announce its new device and its specs and features.
However, Google has not announced the official release date of the rumored Google Nexus 5 2015 and which mobile manufacturer will be in-charged of making the smartphone. Aside from Samsung, reports also claimed that LG, Huawei and Motorola are the possible manufacturers of the next Nexus smartphone.
