The original entertainment news show “Talking to Hollywood with Betty Zhou” will premiere on Friday on the state-run’s Chinese Central Television’s movie channel, CCTV6.
The program is co-created by Zhou and Paramount Pictures vice chairman Rob Moore. The tandem has also teamed up with Walt Disney Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Universal Pictures.
The Chinese actress will also serve as the producer of the series, which will be aired weekly.
"'Talking to Hollywood with Betty Zhou' delivers an inside look at the movie business to its most passionate and dedicated fans in China," Moore remarked.
"My colleagues in Hollywood and I look forward to working with our friends at CCTV6 on this exciting new venture," he added.
The show will feature fresh and exclusive interviews and contents highlighting Hollywood A-listers.
The producers eagerly shared that the audience will see Zhou driving race cars with Tom Cruise, sparring with Arnold Schwarzenegger, touring the Pixar Animation Studios and meeting the latest big-screen Marvel superhero, Antman.
Zhou was earlier seen as a bilingual on-air host for NBA events. She also hosted and served as a commentator for CTV's "NBA Sai Chang" on the association's 2013-2014 season.
The Chinese star was also a commentator for the NBA All-Star Weekend broadcasts and 2014 NFL Superbowl. She is the current host of "NBA Inside Stuff China," the league's official show in the country.
Zhou also had hosting stints in a show involving Hollywood movies, such as the movie premiere of "Transformers: Age of Extinction" in China and its CCTV TV Special.
