Enrique Iglesias Sliced His Fingers During A Concert In Mexico

"Hero" singer Enrique Iglesias suffered a serious hand injury during a concert in Tijuana, Mexico, when he tried to grab the flying drone which was filming the crowd at "Sex and Love" tour gig. Reports state that the singer was left bloodied after the incident but he continued on with the rest of the performance.

"Something went wrong and he had an accident," said the Iglesias' representative said in a statement obtained by Rolling Stone, further adding that the singer often grabs the drone to give his audience a Point of View shot

The "Escape" singer was given a preliminary treatment at the concert site and was advised to stop the gig.  Iglesias, however, continued for another 30 minutes during which his bandaged fingers continued to bleed profusely on the stage.

In one of the videos taken by a concertgoer, it can be seen that the singer attempted to take his selfie with 12,000 people by harnessing the drone, but accidentally slid his fingers in its path, resulting in the injury. Wincing with pain, the 40-year-old tossed the drone to the floor. Watch the video below.

The singer took a mini break for the treatment during which he reportedly said that he cannot feel any pain and feel numb. After a brief first aid break, Iglesias went on to perform "I Like It" with his bandaged, bloodied hand hiding behind his back. He also smeared some of the blood on his white T-shirt to draw a heart, E! News reported.

Right after the concert, the singer was put on a plane to Los Angeles for further corrective treatment. The Iglesias' next show is scheduled for July 3 in Mexico City.
