During the Japanese-only Nintendo Direct event, the company announced that it will be releasing an upgraded version of "Chibi Robo!" video game along its amiibo figurines. Nintendo said that the upcoming game will be released on the Nintendo 3DS.

"Chibi Robo!" was first released for the Game Cube console in 2005, according to IGN. The game features a robot that completes menial task in order to keep its owners happy.

According to GameSpot, the new "Chibi Robo!" is mildly different from its predecessor. Instead of the usual free-roam mechanics, the new gameplay will feature a side-scrolling platform that is reminiscent of the "Super Mario" video game.

Aside from "Chibi Robo!," Nintendo also announced a new addition to the "Dr. Mario" franchise. The upcoming "Dr. Mario" game will be released to the Nintendo 3DS console. Just like its predecessor, the upcoming "Dr. Mario" title retains the same gameplay.

In order to finish the game, players are required to defeat pre-existing viruses by using color coded capsules. The upcoming game dubbed "Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure" also has additional features not available in the game's previous versions. The new Miracle Cure feature allows players to cure all the viruses provided that the player has filled up the in-game gauge.

The Miracle Cure feature can wipe out viruses and capsules of the same color as well as erase entire rows or columns. The feature also gives players the ability to eliminate all surrounding viruses and capsules.

"Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure" will be released to the Nintendo 3DS on June 11. Nintendo has yet to confirm whether the game will support other platforms.
