Formerly known as Bruce Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner was recently introduced to the world as a trans woman as she graced a cover of a magazine photographed by Annie Leibovitz. In the magazine, she also explained why she did not spell her name with a K as in Kardashian.

According to the former Olympic champion, spelling her name with a C was intentional. She told Vanity Fair that she wanted to break the tradition and did not want to associate herself from the media associations that go with the Kardashians.

Caitlyn told the magazine that choosing her own name is one of the hardest things in life. She revealed that she started considering names two years ago, which was long before her interview with Diane Sawyer.

In addition, the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" patriarch said she even watch the Miss America pageant for name ideas. She then picked the name Caitlyn when one day, her assistant Rhonda randomly said she loved the named very much.

As published in E! News, E! has released the first promo of Caitlyn's upcoming eight-part docu-series titled "I Am Cait." In the one-minute promo, she says, "So many people go through life and they never deal with their own issues. No matter what the issues are. Ours happen to be gender identity."

"How many people go through life and waste their entire life because they never deal with themselves and be who they are?" Caitlyn also asks in the "I Am Cait" promo. "Isn't it great that maybe someday you'll be normal? Just blend into society? Put it this way: I'm the new normal."

Premiering on July 26, "I Am Cait" will follow Caitlyn's life after her transition from male to female. Her children have refused to participate in the E! docu-series although they have claimed they fully support their father's transition.

Caitlyn admitted she was "terribly disappointed and terribly hurt" at first upon learning that her children did not want to participate in "I Am Cait." However, she eventually has come to accept their decision and is now ready for the criticism that it is just a publicity stunt.
