Oscar-winning "Maleficent" star Angelina Jolie is in for a surprise as her husband Brad Pitt, 51, along with their six children, is planning something special to mark her 40th birthday on June 4.
According to Belfast Telegraph, Pitt wants to make his wife feel extra special on her birthday this year and has teamed up with his kids to prepare some special events for the day.
Since the actress was busy directing "By The Sea" since paset few months, Pitt has decided to spend as much time as possible with her this weekend. To make her day memorable, he has pre-booked a private island just for them.
Apart from the getaway, Pitt is also reportedly planning to gift her an antique emerald ring, which is engraved with the date they first met, and helping out his six kids to pick out gifts for their mother. The couple is known to be close to their children, whom they keep actively involved in their lives, be it their high profile wedding or other major events.
In addition, Pitt has bought a seaplane and flying lessons for his Jolie's 40th birthday, Mirror reported.
Often accused of breaking Jennifer Aniston's fairytale marriage with Pitt, Jolie was was earlier married to her "Hackers" co-star Johny Lee Miller. Her wedding ceremony with Miller became controversial when she appeared in black rubber hot-pants and a white T-shirt smeared with her groom's name written in blood.
Jolie and Miller split after three years, after which the actress got famously involved in a lesbian relationship with actress Jenny Shimizu, whom she dated on and off for several years.
Before she met Pitt, Jolie was briefly married to fellow actor Bill Bob Thornton for three years. Now happily married with "World War Z" star, the actress has undoubtedly come a long way from being a so-called dark-haired temptress to an award-winning actress along with being a humanitarian and a United Nations ambassador.
