Bruce Jenner, now known as Caitlyn Jenner, has spent a fortune for the transformation into a woman. The TV personality has shelled out around $4 million to become a woman after living as a man for 65 years.
The reality TV star and former athlete, who revealed her new identity on the cover of Vanity Fair , spent almost close to $81,000 on various surgeries. The surgery cost also includes $10,000 for breast enhancement surgery, which she had undergone in April.
Caitlyn revealed in the magazine's interview that she went through a slew of surgeries, including tracheal shave to remove the Adam's Apple, two nose surgeries, hair removal and facial feminization surgery that involves corrections to the hairline, forehead, jaw and chin.
Apart from surgeries, Caitlyn was on a spending spree to make sure that her announcement of the new identity makes a strong impact on the world. The Trashy Lingerie bustier, which she wore on the magazine cover, was worth $200, while the Zac Posen gown was a whopping $7,000, Mirror reported.
Caitlyn recently bought a new home in Malibu worth $3.57 million, which she is remodeling in line with her feminine personality and taste. The remodeling and enlargement of the closet has cost the former Olympian $15,000, which she has filled with newly bought $150,000 worth of dresses.
Meanwhile, after witnessing the huge attention Caitlyn has received within a couple of days, multiple media outlets have forecasted that she will become more powerful, influential and financially successful than Bruce ever was.
After winning his gold medal in 1976 Olympics, Bruce gained a celebrity status by endorsing products, engaging in motivational speeches and doing cameo roles on TV. Later, under the management of his then wife, Kris Jenner, he appeared in the hit reality show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashian."
Dan Schawbel, author of "Promote Yourself," told People that with so much media attention, Caitlyn will get more audience at the speeches and thus speaking fees will increase manifold. Also, she is expected to become more successful than her famous step daughter, Kim Kardashian, as her new docu-series "I Am Cait" is also set to hit on E!.
