Tens of Thousands of Students, Parents Flock to Schools and Streets for Gaokao 2015

Reporters and members of the media are heavily relied upon by local authorities to lead crackdown against cheaters.

China's National College Entrance Examination, called "gaokao," gathered thousands of parents and students in schools and streets this year.

According to record, 9.42 million Chinese students are sitting for the 2015 holding of the country-wide exams. This number is higher than the previous year's 9.39 million.

For the the two-day exams, which started on June 7, Sunday, the government deployed Ministry of Education staff and police officers to ensure the safety of both parents and students.
