‘Big Bang Theory’ Season 9 Episode 10 Not Airing This Week: Here Is What Happens On ‘The Earworm Reverberation’—Details

"The Big Bang Theory" has been dubbed as one of the most successful shows on CBS. Now, it was revealed that the new series "Super Girl" will premiere ahead of it to help boost ratings.

According to Deadline, "The Big Bang Theory" has already been renewed for seasons 9 and 10, which proves that the sitcom is huge for the network. Although there has been a lot of buzz surrounding "Super Girl," the network still has to play it safe to ensure that the buzz will actually turn into audience share.

This is not the first time that CBS is playing around with this strategy. Last fall, the new series "Scorpion" was also released ahead of "The Big Bang Theory's" season 8 premiere and it became a huge success.

However, it is important to note that series that stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Mayim Bialik, Melissa Rauch and Kunal Nayyar, has been moved back to its original schedule which is on Monday nights.

Meanwhile, Coming Soon confirmed that the premiere of "Super Girl" will take place on October 26 at 8:30 p.m. "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will premiere on September 21 at 8 p.m.

Nina Tassler, the chairman of CBS Entertainment, released a statement about their new fall schedule and said that it was created with a focused scheduling to help provide the best possible launch platform for their range of shows, both old and new.

"Super Girl" stars "Glee" alum Melissa Benoist as Kara Zol-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen and Owain Yeoman as Vartox.
