Google Nexus 5 2015 release may happen soon as the current Nexus 6 smartphone received a $150 from Motorola.

Motorola is offering Nexus 6 for $150 cheaper than its original price, which brings the prices down to $499.99 and $549.99 for the 32GB and 64GB, respectively. The discount applies to both Cloud White and Midnight Blue variants.

The promo will run until June 23. Shipping will be in a week.

This is not the first time that Nexus 6 received discounts. Google offered the same discounts to the handset last week.

The Nexus 6 discount hinted the imminent release date of its successors. Google Nexus 5 2015 release date is reportedly in October.

Geek Snack cited an unnamed source close to the matter claimed that the rumored Nexus 5 2015 handset will be a revamped or redesigned version of the popular LG Nexus 5. The handset will reportedly pack a quad HD (2,560 x 1,440) screen display that is commonly found in most high end smartphones. This is a big jump from the original Nexus 5, which packs full HD screen display.

Moreover, Nexus 5 2015 will also pack a fingerprint sensor that are at par with its rivals. The inclusion of the feature is due to the new features in Android M operating system such as Google Wallet mobile payments.

Other rumored Google Nexus 5 2015 features are Snapdragon 808 SoC, Type-C USB port, wireless charging, NFC, Bluetooth, LTE and Wi-Fi.

The report added that the Nexus 5 2015 price will be kept below $500 despite the aforementioned high end features.

Going back to LG Nexus 5 is based from the disappointments in the current Nexus 6. Most consumers complained about the smartphone's big screen and expensive price tag. Thus, most users settled with Nexus 5.
