George R. R. Martin has announced that he will conduct a preview of a chapter from his upcoming book, "The Winds of Winter," at the ConQuest 2015. On the other hand, the much-anticipated television series "Game of Thrones" Season 6 is currently being shot in Spain.
The upcoming ConQuest 2015 event will be held in August in Germany, according to Master Herald. The exact chapter, which he will preview to the audience is not known but speculations abound that he is planning to preview a chapter on Sansa Stark. This chapter on Sansa Stark is titled as "Alayne."
Martin is focused on finishing the sixth book in his series as he planned to release it next year, just in time for the "Game of Thrones" new season remiere. In order to devote time to writing the book, Martin also turned down a number of public appearances. Hence, his offer to preview a chapter of "The Winds of Winter" at ConQuest is pretty rare and exciting.
The acclaimed author is also not writing any episode of the current "Game of Thrones" Season 5, in order to solely concentrate on the book. Normally, he writes one episode per season, but this time he is breaking the norm.
On the other hand, filming for "Game of Thrones" Season 6 is going as per plans in Spain. The locations used for filming are mainly Girona and Peñíscola, according to IBTimes.
Girona is located quite close to the French border and it boasts of numerous monuments of the medieval era. They are quite well preserved and could depict the region of Westerosi in the upcoming season.
