Lil Wayne is the stage name for the famous rapper, Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.

"Lollipop" hit maker Lil Wayne has not signed on to Jay-Z's label, Roc Nation. After one of the rapper's euphoric announcements made at KMEL's Summer Jam in Oakland, Calif., on June 13, Saturday, his fans jumped to the conclusion that the rapper had signed on to Jay Z's label, Roc Nation.

However, Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant told TMZ that the fans jumped to the wrong conclusion and the rapper was just referring to the partnership with Tidal as an artist and owner.

"I just signed a deal with my motherf---ing idol, Jay Z," shouted the rapper, as he took the stage at KMEL Summer Jam. The crowd reacted with loud cheers while rumors soon started spreading that the rapper is in talks with Jay-Z's Roc Nation label amid a long-running beef with his current label, Cash Money Records.

Earlier this month, the rapper dropped a new single, "Glory," via the streaming service of the music producer. By signing on the dotted lines, the rapper has joined the rank of Jay Z, Beyoncé, Madonna, Rihanna, Kanye West and Daft Punk.

The rapper's feud with Cash Money Records became public for the first time when he blamed the company for the delay in the release of his 11th studion album "Tha Carter V" in a tweet. The rapper also expressed that he was a "prisoner" in the company and wanted to detach himself from it.

Meanwhile, a possible collaboration between the two of the biggest names in hip-hop will be indeed a matter of rejoice among music lovers, if it happens anytime in the future, according to CNN. The two rappers reportedly admire each other a lot and had publicly praised each other's work in the past.
