The official trailer of the highly anticipated movie "Kung Fu Panda 3" is finally here, in which Po is seen reuniting with his long lost father.

"Kung Fu Panda 3" is hitting the theatres on Jan. 29, 2016. According to The Hollywod Reporter, the  third instalment of DreamWorks Animation's franchise will showcase how the father-son duo will train a secret town of panda to fight against the supernatural villain.

The newly released official trailer has focused majorly on the first chance meeting of the two pandas. It was shown in the prequels that Po was separated from his parents when he has just a baby.

Though, it takes a while for Po and his father to recognize each other despite the uncanny resemblance. "You lost your son?" asks Po in the trailer to which the sequel's new character replied in affirmation, before parting ways.

Eventually, the two pandas will recognise each other and will reconnect to form an army to fight against the supervillian Kai, which is also the new character of the third instalment. It will be quite interesting to watch the reaction of Po's adopted father, when he will reveal that he has met his real father.

Angelina Jolie's Tigress, Jackie Chan's Monkey and Dustin Hoffman's Master Shifu are expected to join Po once again in the upcoming sequel.

Another new character being introduced in the sequel is Mei Mei. The female panda, who aspires to be a ribbon dancer, will play the role of Po's romantic interest. The character will be voiced by Rebel Wilson.

"Kung Fu Panda 2" director Jennifer Yuh  is returning with the third installment of the franchise, whose music is provided by Hans Zimmer, Entertainment Weekly reported.
