While "Twilight star" Robert Pattinson, 29, and his fiancée Tahliah Debrett Barnett, 27, famously known as FKA Twigs, are merrily engaged and planning their wedding ceremony, they are facing some troubles accomplishing their dream.
The Hollywood heartthrob is having a hard time convincing his family that Twigs is his soul mate. According to Inquisitr, his sisters Lizzy and Victoria do not approve of Twigs. Pattinson got engaged to the singer after just six months of dating. They plan to tie the knot in a simple ceremony in London.
Still, Pattinson shares a great rapport with his two sisters so he is still hopeful that he will make them approve of his fiancée. It is then unlikely that he will call off his wedding with Twigs.
The British R&B singer and the "Twilight" star decided to tie the knot during Coachella 2015, and since the news circulated, the duo has faced huge criticisms. Twigs revealed to Complex Magazine that Pattinson's ardent followers and paparazzi were the cause of all that disparagement.
There was also a social media mêlée between Kristen Stewart, Twigs and Pattinson in May. "Twilight" fans and the fans of the former lovers, Pattinson and Stewart, were enraged that Pattinson got engaged to Twigs and they have flooded Twigs' social media pages with chauvinistic remarks and vile words about her complexion.
Twigs felt absolutely awful about the backlash she received. She felt like she wanted to stop everything, she told the New York Times. Despite of the negativity, the singer is very positive about her relationship although she finds it difficult to handle having a relationship with Hollywood A-lister, which comes with huge attention
On the other hand, it must be considered that becoming Pattinson's love interest has reinforced Twigs' musical career.
