T-Mobile was the first among all the U.S. carriers to release Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge flagships from Samsung. Now, it has released the Android 5.1.1 update for its Galaxy S5 users.

The update will come to all the Galaxy S5 with model number SM-G900T users in the coming weeks. Since the carrier has not released any changelog for the update, it is not clear what kind of new features and improvements would arrive for the Galaxy S5 handsets, SamMobile reported.

The update is most likely going to improve the performance and bring bug fixes for the Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S6 users received support for RAW photography with Android 5.1.1. Thus, it is also expected that RAW photography support would also available for T-Mobile Galaxy S5 users. Even though the Android 5.1.1 update by T-Mobile Galaxy S6 users brings RAW photography support, the default camera app on the device is unable to shoot RAW photos, Phone Arena claimed.

Those Galaxy S5 users who have not received any notification on the arrival of the update, they can now check for it manually through Samsung Kies. Alternatively, users can go to Settings > About phone and check for update. The Android 5.1.1 firmware is also available for download with Sam Mobile.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is the flagship smartphone from 2014. Unlike the previous Galaxy S series flagships, it failed to receive good reception from the audience. Now, the South Korean tech giant has rolled out the Galaxy S6 flagships with improved design and features like Quad HD screen, Exynos 7420 SoC, 3 GB RAM, and 2,550 mAh battery.
