Bethesda Game Studios has confirmed that the mobile simulation game Fallout Shelter will be coming to Android in a few months. At present, the company is working on an Android version of the game.
The Fallout Shelter game, which was released to iOS on June 14, was published by Bethesda Softworks and developed by Bethesda Game Studios.
After the release, the game has become the most downloaded app on the App store, next to the YouTube app and the Facebook app.
Users play the game as an overseer and have to build and manage their Vault. They also have to control people in the Vault and have the responsibility to make sure they are happy.
Residents of the vault have to perform different types of activities. They can also reproduce and raise the population. The vault has different parts that have several purposes in order for the community to grow.
The iOS version of the game is already out but the company did not earlier provide any details about the Android version of the game, Realty Today reported. However, on June 16, the company announced through Twitter that it is working on the Android version.
Several Android users would have hoped that Bethesda had launched the Android and iOS versions simultaneously. However, Android users will have to wait for some time to play the game.
The iOS version weighs 200MB and is available as a free download. At present, the game is available only in English and needs iPhone 5 running on iOS 7.0 or later, iPad 3 or an iPad mini 2.
According to CNET, Fallout Shelter has overtaken Candy Crush Saga as the third-most famous game on iOS in the last week.
