The much awaited "Fallout 4" from Bethesda Softworks will never be available on the last generation consoles.
"It is not coming to 360 and PS3, the stuff we’re doing will never work there," Bethesda's global community manager Matt Grandstaff said in a NeoGAF thread.
Bethesda will take the wraps of Fallout 4 – the follow up to the 2008 ‘Game of the Year’, Fallout 3, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC version in its first-ever E3 press conference on June 14. The game is still in the development stage and is slated for a release in 2016. The official Fallout 4 release date is yet to be revealed by Bethesda.
The publisher is also hosting an interview with the "Fallout 4" game director Todd Howard on June 16, and a panel discussion with the game's director Howard, lead designer Emil Pagliarulo, lead artist Istvan Pely, and lead producer Jeff Gardiner on June 17.
While there was no official word about the game launching for PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles as of now, the rumor mill has churned out a number of reports, with a Reddit post as the biggest source, pointing to the game release for last generation platforms. However, Bethesda made it crystal clear that the most anticipated game, will never have a PS3 or Xbox 360 release.
"Fallout 4" will take place in Massachuasettes, in Boston. The trailer revealed locations like Scollay Square, The USS Constitution, The Massachusetts State House and Bunker Hill Monument, which are located in real-world Boston.
