“Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC are all set to receive the SAC3 non-akimbo weapon variants and the new Royalty elite variants, while the last-generation consoles have reached their “hard memory limit,” preventing to the developer from adding more weapons.

“We have hit a hard memory limit on last generation consoles. This memory limit prevents us from adding more weapons to those platforms,” Sledgehammer Games Co-Founder Michael Condrey explained to the fans in a fireside chat on the official Call of Duty website.

The developers are said to be working hard to solve this limit. However, Condrey said that the limitation is out of their control and that it is not possible to simply new content for the “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, just as the team is developing for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, according to PlayStation Life.

Condrey added that this memory limit will not affect the DLC releases and the development team is planning to roll out the DLC 4 for all consoles later this year. The PS4, PS3 and PC gamers will more likely receive the “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” Supremacy DLC on July 2, that was launched for Xbox One and Xbox 360 earlier this month, Venture Capital Post reported.

In addition to the DLCs, Treyarch has also announced that the upcoming “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” will hit the last generation consoles - PS3 and Xbox 360 also, along with the PS4, Xbox One and PC version.
