There are rumors that the upcoming iPad Mini 4 is inspired by iPad Air 2. The iPad Mini 4 release is expected to be in the autumn.

The design is expected to be slimmer and sleeker compared to its predecessor iPad Mini 3. There are speculations that the mute switch will not be present in the new design and there will be just be one row for the auditory output.

A leaked case of the much anticipated iPad Mini 4 revealed that the bottom of the device will have a slot for the charger. The case also had slots for the volume button and the speakers. The case also suggested that the new iPad Mini 4 will come packed with a microphone instead of the mute switch.

It is expected that iPad Mini 4 will function on iOS 9. It is speculated to have 2 GB of RAM. Regarding the processors, there are strong rumors that it will be powered by two processors. One of them may be the A9 processor and the other is expected to be the M9 co-processor, according to US Switch.

Apple also removed the original iPad Mini from their online and offline stores. This led to a further round of speculation that the iPad Mini 4 release is imminent. Third party resellers such as Walmart, Groupon and Amazon are also exhausting their stock of the discontinued iPad Mini, according to Latinos Post.

iPad Mini 3 sales were lackluster as it did not have any major improvements and upgrades. Apple is hence planning to launch iPad Mini 4 with a better design and upgrades in order to appeal to the customers.

It is rumored that Apple will release iPad Pro, iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini 4 together.
