Ben Affleck’s ‘Suicide Squad’ Co-Star Cara Delevingne Admits Same-Sex Relationship; LGBT Community Slams Article

Cara Delevingne has admitted that she is in a relationship with singer St. Vincent.

A new article features Ben Affleck's "Suicide Squad" co-star Cara Delevingne, her sexuality and her relationship with singer Annie Clark, famously known as St. Vincent. The lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, however, was not pleased with the way the article was written.

The British model, who is said to be "Furious 7" star Michele Rodriguez's former girlfriend, graced the cover of Vogue's July 2015 issue, in which she revealed she is in love with St. Vincent.

"I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I'm feeling so happy with who I am these days, and for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle," Delevingne told the magazine.

What angered the LGBT community is how the magazine article writer Rob interpreted Delevingne's love of women as a "phase." He wrote, "Her parents seem to think girls are just a phase for Cara, and they may be correct."

Because of this, a petition titled Tell Vogue Magazine: Being LGBT Isn't a "Phase" was launched. The author of the petition Julie Rodriguez explained, "Instead of the praising Cara for her honesty and holding her up as a role model for the LGBT community, the author of the piece, Rob Haskell, wrote this: 'Her parents seem to think girls are just a phase for Cara, and they may be correct.'"

Haskell and Delevingne have yet to comment on the petition.

Meanwhile, Delevingne has completed "Tulip Fever." She is currently filming "Suicide Squad" with Affleck, Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Jai Courtnry, Scott Eastwood, Jared Leto, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, among others.
